Welcome to Kingdom Kids Preschool at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church! We are so glad you’re here!
Kingdom Kids is a loving, Christ-centered early education ministry serving children ages 1–4. We believe the preschool years are such a special and important time in a child’s life. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where every child is cared for, challenged, encouraged, and loved as they learn and grow.
We want each child to build a strong foundation for kindergarten and, even more importantly, for life. Through age-appropriate learning experiences, meaningful relationships, play, exploration, and Christian teaching, we encourage children to grow socially, physically, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.
A PLACE WHERE CHILDREN FEEL LOVED
Preschoolers learn best when they feel safe, valued, and encouraged. Our caring teachers work hard to create classrooms where children can be themselves, make friends, try new things, ask questions, and discover the joy of learning.
Because preschoolers are active learners, our classrooms offer a variety of large- and small-group activities, hands-on learning, creative experiences, music, movement, play, and opportunities to explore. Our excellent teacher-to-student ratio allows us to give children the individual attention and encouragement they need.
Our teachers are committed to growing professionally as well. Each teacher completes continuing education each year, allowing our team to continually learn, grow, and bring fresh and engaging ideas into the classroom.
LEARNING WITH PURPOSE
Our curriculum provides a balance of early academics, hands-on learning, social development, and faith-based experiences. Children are introduced to age-appropriate skills that help prepare them for kindergarten while learning at a pace that is appropriate for their individual age and stage of development.
We believe learning should be fun, meaningful, and engaging. Our teachers create experiences that encourage children to think, explore, create, communicate, problem-solve, and develop confidence in their abilities.
GROWING IN FAITH
At Kingdom Kids, we have the wonderful opportunity to introduce little hearts to the love of Jesus.
Through Bible stories, chapel experiences, prayer, music, and everyday classroom interactions, children learn simple and meaningful truths about God's love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, helping others, and being a good friend.
We believe some of the most important lessons children learn happen through the loving adults around them. Our teachers strive to model patience, kindness, respect, compassion, and the love of Christ in everything they do.
The ministries of Kingdom Kids welcome and respect families from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Every child is treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.
BUILDING FRIENDSHIPS & INDEPENDENCE
Preschool is about so much more than learning letters and numbers. It is also a time for children to learn how to share, take turns, communicate, solve problems, make friends, follow directions, and become more independent.
We encourage our children to be kind and helpful friends, to take responsibility for their actions, and to develop confidence as they learn new skills.
Most importantly, we want every child to know:

OUR PROGRAM
Kingdom Kids is a half-day preschool program serving children ages 1–4.
- School Hours: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
- School Year: August–May
- Classes: Ages 1–4
- Schedule: We follow the Rowan-Salisbury School System calendar for holidays and teacher workdays.
Our enrollment is open to all children who may benefit from our program, regardless of race, nationality, or ethnic origin.
