We know that it can be a little intimidating to visit a new church for the first time. So, we wanted to try and answer some questions you may have so that you will have a better idea of what to expect when visiting us here at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. It's our hope that you find a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, uplifting and worshipful music, and thought-provoking Bible preaching and teaching.

There is no "dress code" here at Blackwelder Park. Some of our folks come in more "traditional Sunday dress", and some come dressed in a more casual manner. Either way, be assured that you will feel welcomed.
Our 11:00 AM Sunday morning service usually lasts about 60-75 minutes. There is music/singing led by our praise team. After the music portion of the service, Pastor Hayes brings an expository message from God's Word.
Our 6:00 PM Sunday evening service usually lasts about 60 minutes and is smaller and more informal. We open with a couple congregational songs, and then Pastor Hayes goes right into the message from God's Word. We also have our youth Bible study/fellowship during this time. They meet in the upstairs youth room in our Family Life Center.
Our 7:00 PM Wednesday night service consists of an opening song followed by a message from God's Word. We then take time to go over our prayer list and close in prayer. We also have a children's Bible class that meets during this time in the choir room in our Family Life Center.
No. Pastor Hayes does welcome all visitors at the beginning of the service, but you will not be singled out. However, you can expect to be noticed by our church folks and warmly welcomed to our worship service. We want you to feel loved and "at home".
You will find a visitor's card in the pew in front of you. We would ask that you fill it out and drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit with us.
No. The only thing we ask you to put in the offering plate is your visitor's card. Please don't feel obligated to participate in the offering.
Yes. We have a nursery/children's church available at each service. We also, as we mentioned above, have a Wednesday night Bible class for children and a Sunday night youth Bible study/fellowship each week.
If you have a question that has not been answered here, then please feel free to connect with us or ask someone when you arrive for the service. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have or help you in any way. We look forward to meeting you personally!
