Questions You May Have
We know that it can be a little intimidating to visit a new church for the first time. So, we wanted to try and answer some questions you may have so that you will have a better idea of what to expect when visiting us here at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. It's our hope that you find a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, uplifting and worshipful music, and thought-provoking Bible preaching and teaching.

What do I wear?
There is no "dress code" here at Blackwelder Park. Some of our folks come in more "traditional Sunday dress", and some come dressed in a more casual manner. Either way, be assured that you will feel welcomed.
What are your services like?
Our 11:00 AM Sunday morning service usually lasts about 60-75 minutes. The music is a mixture of hymns and praise/worship that is led by our praise team. After the music portion of the service, Pastor Hayes brings an expository message from God's Word.
On Wednesdays, we have our small group program. We have a group that meets from 4:30-5:30 PM and a group that meets from 7-8 PM. These small groups are held at the church. Our youth are involved in a community youth group with other churches of like faith on Wednesday nights called "The Hub". They meet from 6-8 PM here at Blackwelder Park.
Will I have to stand up in front of people?
No. Pastor Hayes does welcome all visitors at the beginning of the service, but you will not be singled out. However, you can expect to be noticed by our church folks and warmly welcomed to our worship service. We want you to feel loved and "at home".
You will find a visitor's card in the pew in front of you. We would ask that you fill it out and drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit with us.
Do I need to give in the offering?
No. The only thing we ask you to put in the offering plate is your visitor's card. Please don't feel obligated to participate in the offering.
Do you provide childcare during any of your services?
Yes. We have a nursery/children's church available at each service.
